| MAIN HOUSE:
The entrance to this home is fronted by a typical Portuguese
balcao and shaded verandah. Heavy wooden double doors open
into an impressive hallway which houses the antique alter
seen in so many traditional homes.
With entrance doors from the Hallway and the Dining Room
you enter a generously proportioned lounge. This airy room
has a high lofty open beamed ceiling three traditional shuttered
windows overlooking the pool and two sets of shuttered doors
onto the front balcao. This fresh room is furnished with an
eclectic mix of old and new, to provide a comfortable space
for lounging or watching TV.
The spacious Dining Room which is furnished with a large
table, and seating for six, has a door off to the bathroom
and out onto a second balcao which overlooks the pool and
garden.
A large and well equipped family kitchen, with an extensive
range of bespoke teak and glass fronted fitted floor and wall
cupboards. A window at each end gives views over the garden
and floods the room with light. There is a central island
unit topped with an impressive slab of a warm yellow coloured
polished stone sourced in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
There is a gas cooking range with 5 burners and a full size
oven, microwave oven, an ‘Aquaguard’ water purifier
and a fridge/freezer.
Bedroom 1 is air-conditioned and has a double bed.
Bedroom 2 is air-conditioned and has an enormous 6-foot wide
double bed or twin beds on request.
Family Bathroom with his and hers wash hand basins.
POOL COTTAGE :
Bedroom 3 is also air-conditioned and is located in an attached
pool cottage. There is a double bed and an en-suite shower
room. This accommodation has a separate entrance.
OUTSIDE :
The big totally private walled garden will make it hard to
leave Casa De Carmona. Shady in parts but with an extensive
sunbathing patio, mature trees and pretty flowering shrubs,
large lawns, outdoor dining terraces, a gazebo and shady seating
areas are dotted around the garden so a shady spot in which
to relax and while away lazy afternoons reading is not hard
to find. For the more energetic the latest addition is the
fabulous swimming pool (a 12 x 4 m lap pool) and a boules
court, for those with the energy to get off their sun lounger!!

Resident Caretaker:
A member of staff lives in his own accommodation at the rear
of the property who is responsible for the garden and pool.
